When I change settings from there and run the game it says to update to directx9 and delete the file T.T is there a way i can change settings from the file ?

What are you trying to change exactly? I don't recommend touching the files in the UGG folder directly in case the anti-cheat or launcher won't let you open GunZ.

If it's anything texture related or anything or the sort that can be accessed via the in-game settings, I would advise you to try that first.

Unfortunately you can't edit Gunz files, by attempting to do so you will receive an automatic temporarily ban by the system.
